How it all started

Astoria Cyber was founded in late 2018 by Azaria Davidov, an expert in cybersecurity for national infrastructures. The company was born out of Mr. Davidov's realization of the global threat to operational technology (OT) infrastructure, sparked by the NotPetya attack on Ukraine. The attack highlighted the vulnerability of critical infrastructure to cyber threats, leading Mr. Davidov to use his expertise to protect the world from such attacks.

Mr. Davidov has guided many organizations worldwide, including power plants, satellite companies, and industry factories. He co-founded TEMA Cyber, the largest Israeli HR company in the field of cybersecurity, and served as CISO at Madsec Security and Cybersecurity and IT manager at EDF Israel. His experience in the industry and the OT environment made him acutely aware of the importance of protecting critical infrastructure.
